Membership in the STGS is $25 per year for active and associate members and $10 for students. Details and an application can be printed out at the link to the left.

The STGS meets on the second Wednesday of the month in the months September through May. At these meetings the general business of the society is reported on and a geological talk is presented. A copy of the abstract for the talk is printed in the monthly bulletin as well as here. All but one meeting is a luncheon meeting at the Petroleum Club of San Antonio. Cost for lunch is $20 for members with a reservation, $22 without, and $8 for students.

The STGS has an excellent store of publications available through the Bureau of Economic Geology. A list of them and their prices can be accessed through the menu on the left.
